ENGAGING IG PHOTOS HAVE THESE QUALITIES: • High lightness (Not dark images) • More background • Blue as a dominant color • One dominant color • More contrast (less saturation) • High amounts of texture in photo (versus smooth) • Duck faces (I am not kidding) • Natual lighting (no flash or inside lighting) • More contrast • Minimal editing • Props • A clear focal point • Products in situ • The “rule of three”composition • Unusual angles or view points • No extra garbage in the shot Assignment, part 2: Read this post for examples on how to plan your photos. PLAN YOUR PHOTO AND IG POST: • What story is the photo telling? • What is the goal of your photo?
